The story

This is a 练功券, “skill-practice voucher”, used by bank staff to train for cash counting rather than to buy anything. The front text says it is for cashier cash-counting competitions, and the back warns that it is for internal use and must not be circulated. Such teller training notes are institutional consumables not meant for the public, and most are destroyed after use. The designs borrow familiar Chinese scenes: the Great Wall on the front and a large bridge on the back, though the note does not say which sections or which bridge. Training notes remain necessary because cash-handling errors carry real liability, even as mobile payments reduce cash use.

Front

Great Wall of China winding over green mountain ridges with a gateway tower, lotus-style floral emblem at the lower centre, flower-spray ornament at the lower left, rounded green emblem at the top left, corner mark of diagonal dark bars at the top right, Chinese texts "出纳点钞练功技术比赛专用" (for cashier cash-counting skill competition use only), "练功券" (practice voucher), "壹圆" (one yuan).

Back

Large steel truss and cable-stayed bridge crossing a river or sea (the specific bridge isn’t identified on the note, so I won’t name it), flower ornament at the lower right, rounded green emblem at the top left, corner mark of diagonal dark bars at the top right, texts "内部使用 禁止流通" (internal use, circulation prohibited), "练功专用" (practice use only), pinyin line “CHUNADIANCHAOLIANGONGJISHUBISAIZHUANYONG”, “YI YUAN”, year “2018”.
